The Rock: “I am not coming back”

February 29, 2008

According to Pr-inside.com, The Rock is fed up with the wrestling demands. Here is the press release statment by The Rock.

The 35-year-old decided to part ways with World Wrestling Entertainment and pursue a career in Hollywood after “falling in love” with acting on the set of 2001’s The Mummy Returns. But the Scorpion King star insists he is still bombarded with queries as to when The Rock will return to the ring.

He says, “I probably wouldn’t get asked that question if I had made a bigger splash about my retirement. But I retired quietly five years ago. “I didn’t want it to be a grand exit, I just wanted to walk away, so I thanked everybody that I needed to thank, and did just that.”

Still, he could return to cut some promo for WWE, as he had did it last year for the Trump/Vince match. We will definitely look forward to more of these coming up.

It was really interesting to see The Rock on screen again. For more pictures of the Rock, you can view it here.
